Seal of the Counts of Veringen
In the documents of the Counts of Veringen , 15 different seals of the Counts of Veringen are known. All of these seals carry the Veringer coat of arms, namely three stag sticks lying on top of each other in a triangular field. The tips of the antlers are heraldically turned towards the left. The seal no. 9 by Wolfrad (1297-1330) is an exception. Here they are in the opposite position. The number of ends of the bars is also not uniform. Most seals have poles, each with four ends . The seal no. 2 by Count Mangold from 1220 has two rods with five ends and one rod with four ends in the coat of arms. Count Heinrich's first coat of arms No. 4 (Altveringen) is adorned with two stag poles with four ends and one with five ends. Another deviation in the Veringen coat of arms can be found in the two seals of Count Heinrich (1311–1366) nos. 10 and 12. Here the top bar shows six ends, the one below five and the lowest four ends. The seals shown below are drawings by Sebastian Locher .
