Siehste (subtitled television magazine for children ; also written SIEHSTE) was the name of a program guide for children. It was considered to be the “little sister” of Hörzu and, like this, was published by Axel Springer Verlag .

history

In 1979 the child-friendly weekly program guide was brought onto the market under the name Siehste with a circulation of 250,000, but was discontinued the following year due to insufficient sales. The three dots of the Hörzu identification mark were found in the logo of the Siehste as part of a cartoon face. The first issue appeared on January 26, 1979. The sales figures fell short of expectations. One reason for this was the relatively high issue price of DM 1 . At the beginning of 1980 three special editions appeared under the name Siehste Extra, as well as a weekly Siehste page in Hörzu for five and a half years. With the appearance of the Hörzu issue 37 on September 6, 1985, the last issue was available. The motto of the magazine was: "Lieste see, see clearly!" (Colloquial for "read you see, do you see clearly!")
