Siesikai is a small town in Lithuania , in the west of the Ukmergė Rayon .
Location and inhabitants
Siesikai is located on Lake Siesikai about 22 km northwest of Ukmergė . The town had 508 inhabitants in 2011.
history
The Catholic Church has existed since 1537. In the town there is a Freedom Monument and Siesikai Castle from the 16th century.
There is also the Siesikai Middle School , a post office (LT-20048), a cultural center, an ambulance, a pharmacy and the Siesikai forestry.
The small town has had an official coat of arms since 1998, which has been confirmed by the President of Lithuania.
