Sihanaka

Sihanaka are a Foko whose members mainly settle in the central highlands of Madagascar . Within the Sihanaka, marriage was often practiced among close (biological) family members until the 19th century in order to preserve the family's economic capital. Around 1970 there were around 135,000 Sihanaka people.
