Silandos

Silandos was an ancient city in the Lydia region of Asia Minor in the upper Hermos Valley near today's Selendi in western Turkey.

The city is not mentioned in ancient written sources, but is known from coins and inscriptions. In late antiquity, Silandos was the seat of a bishop; The titular Silandus of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to the diocese .
