Simsim (Gaza)

Simsim (also Sumsum ; Arabic سمسم) is a former Palestinian village, 15 km northeast of Gaza City .

Simsim was in the Gaza district of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine . As part of the first Arab-Israeli war , it was forcibly evacuated together with the population of the neighboring town of Najd on May 12, 1948.
