Sinclair Petrolore

The Sinclair Petrolore was an oil tanker . It was completed in 1955.

The magnate Daniel K. Ludwig had the ship built. It was the sixth ship to be built by National Bulk Carriers Inc., Kure Shipbuilding Division. Its length was 240 meters. It was the largest cargo ship of its time. The drive unit was second-hand, built in 1936.

The ship exploded and sank off Brazil on December 6, 1960. About 60,000 tons of crude oil were released.
