Skarbek (comic)

Skarbek ( La vengeance du comte Skarbek ) is a two-part Franco - Belgian comic published in 2004 and 2005 . The author of the comic, which was drawn by direct coloring by Grzegorz Rosiński , was Yves Sente .

The story begins in 1843. Count Mieszko Skarbek goes ashore in Saint-Malo and visits the art dealer Daniel Northbrook in Paris, who is in possession of the paintings by the painter Louis Paulus, who died years ago. Shortly thereafter, Northbrook was brought to court by two former customers. Skarbek appears as a witness, who reveals himself to be the late painter and thus ushers in the end of Northbrook.

Publications

Dargaud published the 54-page albums Deux mains d'or and Un coeur de bronze in 2004 and 2005, respectively. A 118-page complete edition was also published by Dargaud in 2008. The German-language editions appeared in May 2006 with the individual titles Hands from Gold and Hearts from Bronze in the translation by Resel Rebiersch by the publisher Schreiber & Leser . Other publications appeared in, among others, Dutch and Polish.
