Skoglund & Olson was a foundry and engineering company in Gävle . Sweden .

The company Skoglund & Olson was founded in 1874 by Erik Gustaf Skoglund (* 1840) and Axel Olson (* 1843) as a foundry in Gävle. It was taken over in 1902 by engineers Simeon Göranson and Emil Söderström.

The company became a public company in 1914 and had about 260 employees and about 30 in the office by the 1930s. The company had a foundry, mechanical workshop, sheet metal working and nickel plating. It manufactured cast iron stoves, waffle irons, kettles, tiled stoves, lantern holders and pumps. From around 1926 Skoglund & Olson also manufactured cast iron toy cars. These were cast in half and riveted, fitted with rubber wheels and painted. In a branch that was founded in Strömsbro in 1953 , electric cartridge heaters and heat pipes were manufactured under the ABSO brand, and these were also exported.

Skoglund & Olson was sold to AB Ekström Maskinaffär in 1951 , which was taken over by the Husqvarna Group in 1966 . Skoglund & Olson's last melt was dropped on November 10, 1967, the foundry was sold in 1968 and operations closed in 1970.
