Skrinda

Skrinda was a Swedish measure of weight and meant carriage. As a charcoal measure, it was divided into whole and half Ryss / Ryß.

  • 1 Skrinda = 18 tons = 1 Stor-Stig
  • ½ Ryss = 20 tons
  • 1 Ryss = 40 tons, also possible only 24 tons.
  • 1 large Ryss 40 tons
  • 1 half-ryss = 20 tons
  • 1 stig / whole stig = 20 tons
  • in the trade 1 Stig = up to 24 tons

A large stig (stor-stig) was 1½ times as much as a stig.

  • 1 load = 12 tons
  • 1 Stig = 12 tons = (between 672 cans (can) and 645.58 cans (must)) = about 1.6896 cubic meters
