Johann Christian Noback
Johann Christian Noback (born October 6, 1777 in Cölleda ; † June 4, 1852 in Chemnitz ) was a German commercial writer and businessman.
In 1810 he was the dispatcher of a silk and velvet factory in Krefeld and founded one of the first commercial schools in Germany in Erfurt in 1821 , which he brought to an important boom and which he managed until 1842. He then lived in Gotha , and from 1845 in Berlin .
His literary reputation is based on his “Complete Handbook of Coin, Bank and Exchange Relationships in All Countries and Trading Places” ( Rudolstadt 1833), which he and his son Friedrich Eduard Noback as a “Complete Pocket Book of Coin, Measure and Weight Relationships etc. ”( Leipzig 1841–50, 2 volumes) revised.
