Ole Oberbeck (born November 28, 1970 ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . At the age of 31, Oberbeck played a professional role for VfB Lübeck in the 2nd Bundesliga . His main occupation is a physiotherapist and alternative practitioner .

Career

Oberbeck played his entire youth at VfB Lübeck and after two years in the club's first team, moved to VfL Bad Schwartau in 1991 . After the other positions at 1. FC Phoenix Lübeck , FC Schönberg 95 and Eichholzer SV , he returned to the amateur department of VfB Lübeck. When the professional goalkeeper Maik Wilde was injured for the second division game against MSV Duisburg on the 9th match day of the 2002/03 season , Oberbeck took his place on the bench.

During the game, shortly before half-time, there was a clash between Duisburg captain Carsten Wolters and Lübeck goalkeeper Tim Cassel , who made his first professional appearance in this game. Cassel suffered a broken shin and Oberbeck was substituted on shortly before half-time when the score was 0: 1. VfB Lübeck managed to equalize in the second half by Daniel Bärwolf and the game ended 1: 1. After the game, Oberbeck was temporarily released from his employer, he received a contract as a contract amateur and was substitute goalkeeper for the Lübeck professional team for the rest of the first half of the season. For the winter break, VfB Lübeck signed the goalkeeper Carsten Wehlmann and Oberbeck returned to the association league team.

In 2003 Oberbeck left VfB and switched to the district class for SV Grün Weiß Siebenbäum. In the 2007/08 season he played with the club in the regional league. In 2008 he moved back to the 2nd team at VfB Lübeck. He also works at VfB as a goalkeeping coach and third goalkeeper for the professional team.
