Carsten Wehlmann (born June 27, 1972 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

He began his career at SV Eidelstedt and VfL 93 Hamburg . From there he moved to FC St. Pauli , where he played 52 games in the 2nd Bundesliga between 1997 and 2000 . For the next one and a half years he moved to Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga , but stayed there without a job. A six-month guest appearance at Hannover 96 in the second division was followed by half a season at HSV II in the Regionalliga Nord . At the beginning of 2003 he finally moved to VfB Lübeck , where he played 19 second division and 8 regional league games by 2007. He finally ended his career in the second team of St. Pauli. Wehlmann played a total of 74 times in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Until August 2009 he worked as a sports club manager for the Qatar Stars League (QSL) in Qatar . From August 2009 he was chief scout at Holstein Kiel and was appointed goalkeeping coach for the Kiel team on February 15, 2010. On September 15, 2018, he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 as a sports coordinator . On February 18, 2019, after Dirk Schuster's dismissal, he was appointed sports director at SV Darmstadt 98.
