Slow play

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Slow Play ( German  slow play , contrary almost or fast play) is a way of playing the poker .

A player with the likely leading hand does not play or only slightly and pretends to be weak in order to deceive his opponents. The tactic is closely related to the bluff , the procedure is an exact mirror image of the bluff. Despite the literal translation, play slowly , the tactic has nothing to do with the speed of the decision, it is only about the height of the bet in relation to the strength of the hand.

The style of play is widespread among many poker players, but there are also opponents. The main problem with the procedure is that the opponents can put together a better hand because of the small stakes.

Aside from these disadvantages, there is of course less money going into the pot .
