Slupčane

Slupčane (maz. Слупчане, alb. Sllupçan) is a village in the municipality of Lipkovo (maz. Општина Липково, alb. Komuna e Likovës).

Geographical location

Slupčane is located in northern Macedonia. Further north is the border with Kosovo and northeast the border with Serbia. The closest city is Kumanovo. To the west is the capital Skopje and the largest village in Macedonia, Aračinovo (maz. Арачиново, alb. Haraçinë)

population

According to the 2002 census, 3789 Albanians live in Slupčane, which is 100% of the population.

religion

The village is 100% Muslim. It also has two mosques with minarets that call to prayer five times a day.

Sports

The village of Slupčane has its own football team, the "KF Besa Sllupçan", which currently plays in the third Macedonian league.
