Lipkovo ( Macedonian Липково , Albanian Likova or Likovë ) is a village in northern North Macedonia . It is the main town of the Opština of the same name , to which other villages in the surrounding area belong (including Lojane ).
The place gained notoriety through the hostage-taking attack on April 21, 2015 called the " Gošince Incident ".
Geographical location
Lipkovo is located in northern Macedonia. It is west of Kumanovo and south of Kosovo and Serbia .

In the 2002 census, 26,360 people or 97.4% of the population identified themselves as Albanians , 370 people or 1.4% of the population as Serbs , 169 people or 0.6% of the population as Macedonians and 159 people or 0.6% of the population reported a different ethnic group.
