Lojane ( Albanian  Llojan or Lojane , Macedonian Лојане ) is an Albanian village in North Macedonia . Lojane belongs to the municipality Lipkovo (Albanian Likova ) and is located north of Kumanovo directly on the border with Serbia over the community for Preševo belonging place Miratovac .

The village was built on a mountain pass called "Kulishte". Over time, however, due to a lack of space and a steady increase in the number of inhabitants, people went further and further in the lowlands in the fields, which contributes to the fact that the neighboring villages are within a radius of approx. 1 km. In the north lies Miratovac, Preševo ( Serbia ), in the south Vaksince , in the west a wide mountain landscape and in the east the border crossing Tabanovce.

history

Lojane is an old village, which is mentioned in the 14th century, more precisely in 1332.

The mosque was only built in 1816 after the Albanian people converted to Islam. Renovation work was carried out on it later in 1971 and 1987.
