Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio is an Italian theater collective founded in 1981 by Claudia Castellucci , Romeo Castellucci and Chiara Guidi . Originally coming from the field of visual arts, they understand theater as an art form that unites all other arts and appeals to all of the audience's senses. Characteristic features of her theatrical work are elaborate and imposing stage sets, room and sound installations that use a pictorial and associative language and often have a disturbing effect on the viewer. Spoken words are hardly used or not used at all.
