The Racing Post is a British sports betting newspaper.

In April 1986 the owner Muhammad ibn Raschid Al Maktum had his betting magazine published for the first time in the Trinity Mirror newspaper. In 1998, a takeover lease for one pound was signed and the newspaper "Sporting Life" was founded to cover sports betting.

The websites “The Betting Site”, “Cricketbase” and “Soccerbase” also run under the name of Racing Post.

On October 1st 2007 the newspaper was sold to an Irish investment firm for a total value of £ 170 million .
