The Soemlamanjoko Bay is a side bay of the Kabuy Bay , which extends to the northeast. The eastern end of the Soemlamanjoko Bay marks Cape Kalebenet , the northernmost point of Gam. In the southwest of Soemlamanjoko Bay , the narrow Kabuystraße connects the bay with Warparim Bay and thus separates the two islands of Waigeo and Gam.
