Kabuy Bay
Islands Mjanef, Ura

The Kabuy Bay (also Kabuibucht or Kaboeibucht , Indonesian Teluk Kabui ) lies on the south coast of the island Waigeo , which belongs to the archipelago of Raja Ampat .

geography

To the south, Kabuy Bay is almost completely separated from the Dampierstrasse by the island of Gam . There is a wide access to the bay in the southeast. In its center lies the island of Ura ( Oera ). In the southwest only the very narrow Kabuystraße separates the islands of Waigeo and Gam. Here the Soemlamanjoko Bay forms a side bay of the Kabuy Bay between Waigeo and Gam. In the northeast, behind the island of Mjanef, is the small Sesil Bay . Smaller islands are at the southeast entrance and near the coast in the northeast and west.
