Sokles painter
The Sokles Painter was an Attic black-figure vase painter, active in Athens in the middle of the 6th century BC. Chr.
John D. Beazley has ascribed to him a bowl in private Swiss ownership and a Gordion bowl in Madrid, Museo Arqueologico Nacional 10947 (L 56), both signed by the potter Sokles . He also assigned him an unsigned Kantharos in Berlin, Antiksammlung F 1737. He is one of the little masters .
