The expired Sommerstein Castle was located in the current district of the Vogtei rural community in the Niederdorla district in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia .
history
The objects found in the old Germanic sacrificial moor in Niederdorla prove the activities of the local people at that time, who perhaps needed the disappeared Niederungsburg Sommerstein for their protection . The bog location could indicate a moated or swamp castle.
