Special building regulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Special building ordinances in Germany are state statutory ordinances which - in addition to or contained in the general provisions of the building regulations of the states - make provisions on special buildings (formally often buildings of a special type or use) .

Since the building regulations are primarily geared towards residential use, special ordinances have been issued for special buildings that define the specific technical requirements for special buildings. Furthermore, procedural peculiarities apply to the special structures due to the building regulations.

In the respective building regulations or country-specific in the special building regulations, there are provisions that determine which buildings are to be classified as special structures. These are, for example, garages, hospitals, high-rise buildings , schools, meeting places, industrial buildings, sales outlets, temporary structures , restaurants and accommodation facilities as well as buildings with a certain floor space.
