The Songe dagger has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade has a strong central ridge. It runs narrower from the magazine to the place . After about a fifth the blade is forged into a sharp protrusion on each side of the cutting edge (see picture info box). Then the blade widens again towards the location, ending in a square point. The blade is pierced with three round holes in the side hooks and in front of the site. The booklet is made of wood and wrapped with metal wire.
