Sun dehydrator

A food dehydrator (engl .: solar food dehydrator) is a device that according to the principle of a solar cooker for Drying is used, so the preservation of food by air drying. In contrast to the solar cooker, the sun dehydrator does not work with great heat, but only uses sun-heated air, which moves itself through the dehydrator through convection .

A collector is installed below the actual dehydrator to heat the air . This usually has a black back wall and a glass pane in front and is isolated to the rear. The increase in temperature increases the volume and thus also the moisture absorption capacity of the air, which thus removes moisture from the room through which it flows.
