Sor Bang

Sor bang ( Thai ซอ บั้ง , or sor krabok , ช อ กระบอก ) is a two-stringed bamboo tubular zither that is played in the northeast of Thailand , the Isan .

The sound body is made of bamboo . The sound is generated with the help of a bow made of wood or bamboo with horsehair stretched between the ends.

The sor bang is used as a solo instrument or in ensembles and accompanies singing, boxing matches or Phu Thai dance.
