A soundalike is a post-composed melody or song that sounds similar (sound alike) to the original. A soundalike is mostly used by the advertising industry for reasons of cost , in order to avoid a far more expensive purchase of rights to the original title. Furthermore, a dubbing speaker who sounds as similar as possible to the original speaker is also referred to as a soundalike.
