Soviet memorial (Kleinmachnow)

The Soviet Memorial in the Brandenburg community of Kleinmachnow near Berlin was inaugurated on July 20, 1946. Willi Ernst Schade was responsible for the construction.

A metal wreath was originally attached to the front, but it is considered lost. In addition, the memorial has been the victim of vandalism in recent years.

A total of 104 Red Army soldiers are buried on the site ; they died in the fighting for Berlin between April 22nd and May 2nd, 1945 . 41 names of soldiers could be determined with the help of the local Heimatverein Kleinmachnow. Their names were posted on a board in 2012.
