Social Democratic Party (Azerbaijan)

The Social Democratic Party in Azerbaijan ( Azerbaijani Azərbaycan Sosial Democrat Partiyası , acronym ASDP ) is a Founded in 1989, officially secular and social-democratic oriented political party led by the former President of Azerbaijan, Ayaz Mutalibov .

The Həmsədr of the Social Democratic Party is Araz Əlizadə . The Social Democratic Party is an associate member of the Socialist International .

In the last national general election in Azerbaijan (which took place on November 5, 2000 and January 7, 2001) the Social Democratic Party only won a little less than 1% of the vote and failed until the 2015 election because of the seats in the Azerbaijani parliament, the Azerbaijani National Assembly to win. Like all other opposition parties, it currently holds only one seat.
