Spas ( Russian Спас , savior, savior) is a private television broadcaster in Russia . Spas, founded in mid-2005, is close to the Russian Orthodox Church and aims to influence public opinion through religious and nationalist broadcasts. However, the church is not financially involved in the station and has no direct influence on the program, even if the station has the official blessing of the Moscow Patriarch . Spas broadcasts a religious specialty program with news, talk shows, documentaries, and sermons nationwide twelve hours a day . Spas does not broadcast any feature films, entertainment or children's programs.

Although equipped with moderators from politics and entertainment, some of whom are very prominent in Russia, the current success of the station is low. It has a Russia-wide market share of less than one percent.
