Sparrow (newspaper)
Spatz was the name of a monthly free newspaper for the Basel region . The newspaper appeared since 1984, had a circulation of 252,000 copies and was distributed free of charge to households in the city of Basel and its region.
Around two thirds of it consisted of editorial texts and one third of advertising . In addition to the categories: Spatz regional, life today, politics, economy, culture, food + drink, The big Spatz interview, energy + environment, training platform, tourism, she mainly brought local information and stories behind the stories about companies and people from the Region. The newspaper was published by Basel-based Publitex AG. At the beginning of July 2013 the sparrow was discontinued. All employees were fired.
