The Shimonoseki City University ( Jap. 下関市立大学 , Shimonoseki Shiritsu daigaku ) is an urban university in Japan . It is located in Daigaku-chō, Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi Prefecture .
history
The university was founded in 1956 as Shimonoseki Commercial Science University ( 下 関 商業 短期 大学 , Shimonoseki shōgyō tanki daigaku ). It was an evening school for the youth workers. In 1962 it developed into a 4-year university. At first it only had one department (economics). The Department of International Business Studies has existed since 1983, and the Graduate School (Master’s courses) in 2000. 2011 the department for public management .
There is a faculty that consists of three departments:
- Faculty of Economics
- Department of Economics
- Department of International Trade Science
- Public Management Department
