Example of a disturber: After the election, the election posters are often covered with a disturber in a different color, which thanks for the votes of the voters.

An annoyance is a graphic element that clearly stands out from its surroundings and thus "disturbs" the harmonious overall impression. The interferer should attract the viewer's attention and thus lead to the perception of the information contained therein. Another goal can be to encourage a reaction (e.g. purchase, response).

Disturbers are used both in traditional media and on the web .

Example of the use of the word disturber in advertising language:

  • “The interferer is disturbing. That's why we look too. And that's why there is always something important, for example: 'now also in a 500 g cup' or 'order now!' "
