Perturbation theory
As perturbation theory , various methods are in the physics referred to, are characterized by a common strategy: a complicated problem is first idealized as long by ignoring small influences, until it is reduced to a problem with a known solution. Then the previously ignored influences are added back to the system as small disturbances ( disturbance variable ) and an approximate solution is calculated.
