Base school

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A support school is a school that (in addition to regular lessons) has made a name for itself in a subject area and promotes relevant content for other schools as a multiplier. In this way, other schools can access materials or promote their own development through an exchange. There are support schools in the field of sport, specialist teaching (e.g. biotechnology), quality development, etc. As a rule, support schools are accompanied and supported by the school supervisory authority. Schools attended by students with parents traveling on business are also referred to as support schools.

Requirements of a base school

  • In addition to normal mass sport , the school should also offer additional training for competitive athletes from the sports clubs who are students of the school in question.
  • With this additional training of members of the sports clubs, successes in sports competitions are more likely for both the school and the club. With the approval of the school and parents, the students can take part in both school and club competitions, which in turn allows new talents to emerge.
  • The school must have these sporting successes.
  • It should also be possible for students who do not belong to a sports club to practice the sport of the base at the school.
  • There are grants for the school for the purchase of sports equipment.
  • Additional sports lessons for the school (2 hours) are approved for the base sport.
  • The trainer can also be the trainer of a sports club.
