Support bracket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The support bracket is a component from aircraft construction . It supports the stringers and frames when there is a break in order to relieve the instability .

use

The support brackets are used where the skeleton of an aircraft - consisting of stringers (longitudinal struts inside an aircraft fuselage that run through the entire fuselage on the outer skin ) and frames (a type of carrier to which the outer skin of an aircraft is riveted and the Cross-section of a trunk which gives it a round shape) - is interrupted If frames are interrupted in their concentricity or stringers in their longitudinal guidance through the fuselage of an aircraft, for example on doors, cargo hold flaps or emergency exits above the wings , support brackets are attached here to provide support and connection force, because at the ends of the frames and stringers act with high forces.

Support brackets also support the clip connections, which only connect the frames to the outer skin - but do not hold or support them when the structure is interrupted . The long connection (by rivets ) on the stringer and its vertical positioning on the frame give the support bracket a high level of support.
