The St. Martini Church is a Protestant church building in Buer , a district of Melle in the Osnabrück district .

The church was consecrated on October 31, 1855. The slender, pointed church tower is 57 m high and is also known as the “Bueraner pencil”. The long and high neo-Romanesque church has space for 1000 people. Three large chandeliers from 1981 hang above the central aisle. The altarpiece with the risen Christ was created in 1856 by the artist Adolf von Krehling.

The small pulpit on the left side of the choir, made in 1721 by a Dutch artist, comes from the previous church. The large pulpit at a height of 7 meters is only used on special occasions.

organ

On the west gallery is a classicist organ prospect from an instrument from 1855. The clock, which is located in the crown of the organ case, is connected to the church tower clock. The organ was rebuilt in 1981 by the organ building company Steinmann (Vlotho) in the neo-baroque style. In 2003 the organ building company ter Haseborg revised the sound of the instrument. The instrument, which is now romantically arranged, has 26 registers (1696 pipes) on two manual works and a pedal.

Bells

After the four bells of the Martini Church were only cast from a substitute alloy after the Second World War, the church will ring eight bronze bells on April 14, 2019.
