The Protestant village church St. Johannes stands in the rural part of the largest district of Rudisleben in the city of Arnstadt in the Ilm district in Thuringia . It belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Arnstadt in the parish of Arnstadt-Ilmenau of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The village church was consecrated on December 18, 1732 after its predecessor fell victim to a devastating fire in February 1730 next to 29 farmhouses and the school.

The donations made in 2012 for the church's 280th birthday are intended for the renovation and restoration of the roof, windows, stairs, electrical system and wooden bell house.
