history

View to the pulpit altar
Organ from 1789

This village church in the Thuringian forest village of Vesser is thanks to Hans Valentin Triebel . It was simply built from 1710 to 1711 in half-timbered style as a branch church of Frauenwald , which later made it a cultural monument . The simple furnishings include the galleries , the font (1711), the organ (1789) and the bell (1896) as well as the lecture cross (1712). The pulpit is from the 18th century. The four evangelists and Jesus Christ are depicted in the pulpit. In 1842 the altar figures Maria and Johannes were added when the pulpit altar was rebuilt . In 1912 the pulpit altar received the Eye of God in the gable field .

The epitaphs of the Triebel family honor their work for the house of God.

After the political change

The church had been neglected and was in a critical condition. The church was made a cultural monument with the help of the German preservation authorities and the architect, the parish and the city of Suhl.
