Parish Church of St. Paul Linz-Pichling

St. Paul zu Pichling is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Pichling district of the city of Linz in Upper Austria . The church is also used by the Russian Orthodox Church .

history

The mother parish Ebelsberg founded the chaplaincy in Pichling in 1941. In 1967 the parish exposure survey took place. From 1988 to 1990 the parish church was built according to the plans of the architect Anton Zemann .

Church building

The main room with an open ceiling and the weekday chapel were built with an octagonal floor plan. The sacristy is an irregularly structured low building. The roof areas are partially windowed. The entrance front has a porch gabled with columns. The free-standing bell tower has a pyramid roof on pillars.

Furnishing

The glass windows were created by the artist Silvia Kropfreiter . The facility was designed by the artist Peter Dimmel . The crucifix above the altar is from the 19th century.
