The Khujand State University ( Tajik Донишгоҳи давлатии Хуҷанд ; Russian Худжандский государственный университет ) is one of the largest universities in Tajandikistan and is located in Khujikistan .

It was founded in 1932 as a pedagogical institute. Since Tajikistan gained independence in 1991, the university has borne the name of Bobodzhon Ghafurov . In the 2014/15 academic year, the university had 15,528 students and 862 employees.
