The State Kyrgyz University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture ( Russian Кыргызский Государственный Университет Строительства, Транспорта и Архитектуры (КГУСТА) , English Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture (KSUCTA) ) is a university in Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan .

history

The predecessor of today's university was a polytechnic institute founded in 1954. In 1992 the Polytechnic Institute in Bishkek founded the Kyrgyz Architecture and Construction Institute; In 1998 the university was renamed to its current name.

The university offers training in four faculties with 44 departments and over 60 subjects. The teaching and research of the approx. 11,000 students (7,000 full-time students / 4,000 part-time students) is carried out by approx. 500 professors and lecturers. The current president is Akymbek A. Abdykalykov.

Together with European universities and the Kyrgyz-Chinese training center, media and digital forms of teaching such as teleteaching and distance learning are used. International networking with universities in the Russian Federation, the United States, Germany, Great Britain, France, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Estonia, Thailand, Jordan, Turkey, India, China and South Korea are achieved through participation in programs such as Tempus, Erasmus and of the DAAD ensured. There is the possibility of a double degree in the geoinformatics master's program with the University of Salzburg. All three educational levels of the Bologna system for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs are implemented.
