The family coat of arms is the coat of arms that a gender led when it first appeared. In later times, arbitrarily accepted or lent coats of arms were added to the family coat of arms. For special purposes, the magnificent pieces and the upper coat of arms were omitted and formed the so-called small coat of arms. This little coat of arms adorned furniture, dishes and other objects of everyday life.

Polish heraldry

In Poland there was only a family coat of arms until around 1770, that is, the same coat of arms, which had a special name, was carried by several noble families, which therefore belonged to a certain family of coat of arms.
