Stand chaplaincy

Able chaplaincy was called one of parishes independent professional or targeted pastoral in the Catholic Church . There are examples in work with children, adolescents, mothers, converts, revertites, but above all in the field of certain professional groups such as inland waterwaymen , students, showmen , craftsmen, servants . The pastoral care was aimed specifically at the uniformly structured group. The aim was to “plant the facts of salvation in the mind and intellect” and to form a worldview and behavior through various spiritual exercises. For this purpose, special pastoral assistants were trained , especially in Austria , from the war onwards .
