Stacking place

A stacking place is mostly in a conveniently located place, for example at a port or an important road, on which goods and goods of all kinds are openly stored or stacked. More generally, the respective localities are also referred to as stacking areas.

In antiquity and especially in the Middle Ages, stacking areas were important sources of income in cities, as the goods here had to be temporarily stored or stacked due to the forced stacking in order to be made available for the forced advance sale.
