Lists on the subject

The Star Si35 is a Spanish submachine gun from the 1930s.

In the 1930s, many armies tried to make portable machine weapons available to their soldiers. The Spanish Star Si35 is such a product. In fact, the weapon was not a great success. It was far too complicated to build. Unlike its German, American or British counterparts, the weapon did not have a pistol grip . That made it more like a rifle. The shoulder rest and shaft were made of wood. A selector switch made it possible to change the rate of fire from 300 to 700 rounds / minute. In an emergency, however, it was difficult to reach. Both the UK and the US tested the weapon but decided against it.
