Statistical district is a municipal statistical administrative division, which u. a. is used in the following cities:

• Dresden, see the list of the statistical districts of Dresden , whereby a statistical district is the combination of several statistical districts
• Nuremberg, see statistical breakdown of Nuremberg

When delimiting statistical city districts, the administration usually does not proceed according to the old, mostly winding district boundaries, but rather according to the main roads, railway lines or the like that exist today.
