The statue game is a party game. It exists in many variants and under different names.

Rules of the game

The participants leave the room. The participants are invited in one by one in groups of two. Always two participants ("actors") must represent a figure as instructed by the game master. The game master creates a scenario for this: "I am a sculptor and have been commissioned to design a sculpture for ..." Then the two participants must represent the corresponding figure.

Game idea

The figure shown is generally used to amuse the other party guests. As a rule, the game master will design a scenario, which requires close physical contact between the actors. Fears of contact are reduced and previously unknown party guests become familiar with each other. The game is therefore also suitable as an introductory game.

Variations

The number of variations is unlimited and essentially depends on the creativity of the game master. This is particularly important during the execution of the game. He has to recognize when game participants are feeling uncomfortable and react accordingly. Unforeseen game conditions also occur during the game that the game master has to resolve.
