Stefan Markowitz

Stefan Markowitz (born May 19, 1977 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician ( Team Stronach , previously BZÖ ), as well as technical operations manager and entrepreneur. Markowitz was a member of the Austrian National Council from 2008 to 2013 .

education and profession

Markowitz attended elementary school from 1984 to 1988 and then a secondary sports school until 1992. He then attended a commercial academy, but switched to the vocational school for electrical engineering in 1993, which he completed by 1997. In 1997 Markowitz also completed military service.

Between 1997 and 1998, Markowitz worked in industrial engineering at the Vienna Biozentrum and between 1998 and 2000 he was deputy technical manager at the university campus of the Old General Hospital in Vienna. Between 2000 and 2005 he was technical operations manager at the Institute for Brain Research and between 2005 and 2008 he was operations manager at MCE Building and Infrastructure Solution GmbH . Markowitz has been the organizer of “ Glamor in White ” since 2006 . Stefan Markowitz has been the owner of Fahrmitboerse since 2004. From 2008 to 2013 Markowitz was operations manager at YIT Austria GmbH. Markowitz has been operations manager at Caverion Austria GmbH since 2013. Markowitz has been the managing director and owner of MKI KG since 2015

politics

Markowitz entered the National Council election in 2008 on the federal list of the BZÖ and was elected to the National Council. He was sworn in on October 28, 2008 and was area spokesman for the BZÖ parliamentary club for youth, buildings, tourism and apprentices until October 22, 2012. Markowitz is also a member of the building committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria.

From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the federal board of Generation Future Austria, and from 2010 to 2012 he was regional chairman of the BZÖ Carinthia. From 2012 to 2013 Markowitz was the deputy chairman of the parliamentary club Team Stronach. In 2013, Markowitz was Carinthia's top candidate for the Stronach team for the National Council election.

Parliamentary work

Since January 15, 2013, Markowitz has been a member, substitute member and observer in various committees.

In the Stronach team's parliamentary club, Markowitz was the spokesperson for the topics of youth, apprentices, teaching, tourism, employees, development cooperation, art and culture, research and the disabled.
